Hunny Ooi , graduated from University of Hertfordshire UK with BEng Honours in Civil Engineering on the year 2000, she also graduated from USM with Master of Science in Project Management at the year of 2007. After working for some years, she found her real interest is actually in art which close to her heart. With life long learning in mind, she attended drawing and painting adult class from the Extra Mural Studies Department of MIA( Malaysia Institude of Art ) under Master Liew Kwai Fei, Chinese Painting class under Master Rosalynn Teoh , urban sketching class under Master Khoo Cheang Jin and also Hung Yang Art Academy under Master Woo years back . Her passion for art started from young age inspired by her late father, she practised art painting alot since then even when she was pursuing her studies abroad. She had the opportunity to learn art from a Canadian artists Master Raymond Chow arts sharing sessions and some Canadian fine art artist for exhibition when she visited Canada.

During high school , she was very active in Art Society and had also organised art exhibitions. Fast forward to this day, her love for art has never diminished but grew stronger. Besides oil painting, she has immersed herself in other forms of paintings as well such as sketching , water colour painting , acrylic painting , Chinese painting and batik etc. She was invited by UOB bank for several art events and workshops. She currently owns Hunny Art Studio in promoting arts and sharing her skills with her students. Recently, she lead and completed some mural projects and oil painting workshop in collaboration with Penang Youth Development Corporation, school and communities.
